To strengthen the democracy of India, writer & novelist Ashutosh Shrivastava filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) on 3rd of Feb 2014 in Honorable High Court of Gwalior Madhya Pradesh (India) to declare age of majority of youngsters at the age of 16 years instead of 18 years and further direct them to allow cast their votes  in every election  conducted by Union/States/Local bodies/ Panchayat or any other elections conducted by Government/competent authority time to time. With many constitutional facts and current grounds he prayed that an identical amendment has already been done in  1988  as a 61st amendment  of  Constitution  of  India,  where  voting age was  reduced  to 18 from 21.  As per the records of Election commission approx 45 percent voters do not participate in voting due to lack of youth participation and awareness. In PIL, he annexed many facts of maturity at 16 and achievements of world level celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan  Anand,  P.T. Usha,  Ravindra Nath Tagore, and  also Oscar  winner  Steven Spielberg who have achieved world fame recognition in  their field  at the age  of 16. In this  continuation  it was also mentioned that in many countries like Brazil, Cuba, Austria, and   Argentina  the voting age  is 16 and even many countries are in favor to reduce  it  from 18 to 16. But  on the  completion of  hearing  on  6th of   Feb 2014  the   Honorable Court  ordered  that no such directions can be issued by this court in this matter. Although it is a parliamentary matter, but the revolution is onset for democracy, and therefore he has decided to move in public with his revolution of Voting at 16. Under the constitution a 16 years citizen can choose Art, Commerce and Science for his future studies and career, he pays tax, he gets license to drive vehicle, he travels on adult  fare, he  earns  through service  and  business, he  communicates his political thoughts through internet and mobile, then why canít he cast vote. Even Indian Constitution doesnít accept a 16 years citizen as a child and Medical Science also declares that 16 years boy or girl are completely physically and mentally mature. If parliament makes this amendment then it is sure that voting percentage in every election will be increased. In future this revolution will be an exclusive part in the development of our country, and India will be recognized as a great power of the world...............
